Confirmation Statement

The Confirmation Statement is a mandatory annual filing that all UK companies and LLPs must submit to Companies House. It confirms that the company’s registered details are accurate and up to date.

What is a Confirmation Statement?

Every limited company and LLP is legally required to file a Confirmation Statement at least once every 12 months, even if no changes have been made. The filing ensures that Companies House records remain accurate, transparent, and consistent with your current business structure.

The statement confirms key company details such as your registered office address, directors or members, shareholders, shareholdings, People with Significant Control (PSCs), and your SIC code (the nature of your business).

Your company’s “confirmation date” is typically the anniversary of its incorporation or the date of your last submission, and the CS01 must be filed within 14 days of that date. Failing to file on time can result in penalties or even the company being struck off the register.
